摘要
鉴于目前英语专业高年级文学课令人担忧的现状和英语专业学生入学英语水平的提高及课程数量较少的现实,本文通过问卷调查和网络邮件调查的方式,探讨了在英语专业二年级开设英语文学课的可行性。分析结果显示,在二年级开设文学课有很多优势。如果能控制开课数量,注意选材的趣味性,采用灵活、生动的教学方法和多样、科学的考核方式,在二年级开设英语文学课是可行的。这样的课程设置调整可以帮助二年级学生尽早培养英语文学兴趣、提高语言技能、提升综合素质,并且为高年级学习做准备.有望改变文学课现在备受冷落的境况。
In view of the facts that the current situation of literature courses for English majors of senior grade is not satisfactory, that the English majors' entry level of English has improved, and the number of courses is limited, this paper discusses the feasibility of offering English literature courses for sophomores. Data were collected via questionnaires and online email surveys, and the result of the analysis shows that there are many advanta- ges if literature courses are offered to sophomores. It is practical for sophomores to learn literature if the number of courses is controlled ,interesting teaching material is selected, flexible and lively teaching approaches are used and diverse, scientific testing methods are adopted. A change in the curriculum may help sophomores develop their interest in English literature at an earlier stage, improve their language skills and cultivate their comprehensive quality, to be ready for their study in senior grade and, hopefully, to change the present embarrassing situation of literature courses.
