本文介绍了“新世纪大学英语系列教材”中《写作教程》第五、六册的基本编写思路，即探索“项目教学法”在英语写作教学中的应用，引导有一定基础的学生就学习的专业和今后的工作方向开展相关学习，通过做项目的方法调动他们的积极性，读写结合，学写结合。

This paper discusses the compilation concept of Writing as Communication （Books 5 -6 ） , part of the ＂New Century College English Coursebook Series＂. The concept is： applying the project method to the teaching of English writing so as to engage students in learning about their specialties and future work and presenting their findings and results in English writing.
