An Initial Exploration of Buddhist Thoughts on Leisure

通过对佛教基本教义进行诠释,可发现其中蕴涵着极为独特的休闲思想,这些思想在中国文化的环境中不断丰富和发展,成为中国传统休闲文化中的一朵奇葩。佛教休闲思想主要体现在四个方面:志在解脱、心不执著的超越态度;不耽安逸、不废娱乐的"中道"精神;法喜充满、自我实现的心理追求;观照万物、顺应自然的人生境界。

There are peculiar and abundant thoughts on leisure in Buddhism,mainly in four aspects： the detached attitude with the ideal being vimukta and the mind not being inflexible;the spirit of Madhyama-pratipada between indulgence in comfort and ease and giving up entertainment;the psychological pursuit of full dharma-pleasure and self-realization;and the life state of observing everything in the world and complying with nature.These points are expounded respectively.
