侧面描写现实斗争以回避陌生题材,以貌似"客观主义"的叙事策略增强作品的客观真实性,辩证吸收化用西方"人物典型"理论进而提炼出"活的典型"这一创作观点,吴组缃由此巧妙捍卫了现实主义的尊严。20世纪三、四十年代,现实主义创作方法被理想化、浪漫化、概念化、类型化,沦为伪现实主义。

Describing the real struggle sideways to avoid unfamiliar subjects, enhancing the objective truth with a seemingly objective narrative strategy, critically absorbing the western prototype theory and putting forward the creative perspective of the live prototype, Wu Zuxiang defended the dignity of realism with dexterity. Though in the 1930s and 1940s, realistic creative methodology was idealized, romanticized, conceptualized, categorized, and degraded into pseudo - realism, Wu Zuxiang remained a firm practitioner of the realistic creative methodology.
