介绍了CST可控驱动装置的结构，分析了CST可控驱动装置的工作原理，总结了其主要特点，最后将CST可控驱动装置与几种常用的软启动装置的性能进行了比较，便于选择和使用。
The paper introduces the structure of CST, and analyzes working principle of CST. It also summarizes the main characteristics. The performances of CST controllable transmission devices and severral common soft - start devices are also compared. The purpose of doing so is to use and choose them easily.
