诚为“副册”排座次——读胥惠民先生《与周汝昌先生商榷》并补苴罅漏

On the Ranking of Characters Depicted in the Supplementary Volume of the Twelve Beauties of Jinling——Xu Huimin's Consultations with Mr.Zhou Ruchang Revisited

胥惠民先生《与周汝昌先生商榷》一文指明"不要把瞎编的一百零八钗硬栽到曹雪芹头上",有较强的说服力。所排"又副册"名录亦很有见地。惜乎对"副册"中人员暨"十二钗"的地域界定有偏执之论,对此特作补苴罅漏。为求"金陵十二钗"三册全璧,诚为阙如的"金陵十二钗副册"人员甄审排名。

In Consultations with Mr.Zhou Ruchang,Mr.Xu Huimin was convincingly justified in pointing out that it was not right to attribute fabrications of the One-Hundred-and-Eight Beauties to Cao Xueqin.Thus,he further put forward insightful arguments regarding another supplementary volume of the Twelve beauties of Jinling.Regrettably,Xu has had a distorted view of the geographical distinctions of the characters and twelve beauties in the supplementary volumes of the Twelve beauties of Jinling.Therefore,this paper attempts to make up for such defects and rank up the characters in the supplementary volume of the Twelve beauties of Jinling with a view to integrate the three volumes of the Twelve beauties of Jinling as a complete whole.
