周代亳社功能考论

On the Social Function of Boshe in Zhou Dynasty

亳社是殷商人举行社祀的地方。武王克商之后,殷商政权虽然灭亡了,但亳社还继续存在着。周人为了巩固自己的统治,对亳社进行了"上屋下柴"的破坏。这样,亳社就成了亡国之社。亳社在周代社祀中具有特殊的意义:它一方面承载着殷商族群的原始宗教信仰与情感,一方面又是周人实行族群压迫的重要媒介。因此,亳社既非无足轻重到"根本不存在",也不会重要到与周社享有同样的地位。

Boshe was the altar of Shang people in Shang dynasty.In spite of the demise of the Shang regime after the war between Wu king and Shang dynasty,Boshe continued to exist.In order to consolidate its rule,the government of Zhou destructed Boshe by house,which constructed on Boshe,and wood under it.Thus,Boshe became an altar of conquered nation.Boshe had a special meaning in sacrificing of Zhou Dynasty.On the one hand,it carried the religious belief and clan emotion of Shang.On the other hand,it was an important medium,by which the government of Zhou implemented ethnic oppression on the people of Shang Clan.Therefore,it was neither unimportant,nor as important as Zhoushe.
