创新是一切进步的源泉。科技发展对创新型社会的建设具有巨大的推动作用，科技进步会深刻改变着人们的劳动方式、生活方式和思维方式，促使人们观念更新，促进社会结构的变革。创新型社会的快速发展又有利于人们解放思想、更新观念，激发人们的创造力，推动科技事业的快速发展。本文就近年来甘肃省科技事业发展与创新型社会建设进行了全面分析，并提出了相应措施。

Innovation is the source of all advancement. Development in science and technology can greatly promote the construction of innovation-oriented society, and meanwhile the advancement in science and technology is changing the way of men＇s working and living and thiking deeply, and the advancement also updates men＇s opinion and reforms the social structure. The quick development of innovation- oriented society benefits the emancipation of minds, updating opinions, stimulating people＇s creativity and quick development of science and technology. This paper makes a overall analysis on the development of science and technology and construction of innovation-oriented society in Gansu province, and the countermeasures are also given.
