摘要
给出快响应束流损失监控(Fast Beam Lost Monitor,FBLM)系统的液体闪烁体探测器初样的研制。在高频四极加速器(Radio Frequency Quadrupole,RFQ)实验装置上的测试表明,液闪探测器能给出宽度为500μs束流宏脉冲结构,能逐个显示出宏脉冲内490 ns的束流切束脉冲。液闪输出信号脉冲较490 ns束流切束脉冲延迟约70 ns。液闪型FBLM输出的信号幅度大于塑闪型。液闪探测器初样的成功研制,为其性能进一步改进提高,打下了良好的基础。
Design and construction of the first prototype of liquid scintillator detector for fast beam loss monitor (FBLM)system are given.A beam chopping device can remove a 490 ns section of beam at approximately 1 MHz repetition rate within a 500μs macro beam pulse-width.The liquid scintillator displays the measured beam-pulse structure after the beam chopper.Through RFQ special beam structure,the response time of FBLM is measured.The response time of FBLM is about nano second.The signal amplitude from liquid scintillator is larger than plastic scintillator.All of these give us good experiences for the futher improvement of liquid scintillator detector design and construction.Acccording to the measurement data.liquid scintillator is suggested as the detector of FBLM system.
