Quintilianus' Idea about Teachers' Quality and Its Revelation

昆体良认为,教师应是"才德俱优,即言即行的人、是公认的有学问的人、是具有教学艺术的人、是热爱学生的人。"昆体良的教师观对我国现代教师的培养仍然具有积极的借鉴作用。作为教师,应该具有崇高的道德水平、具有渊博的知识、具有精湛的教学技能、具有建立和谐师生关系的能力。

Quintilianus was a famous educator and orator in the early Roman Empire.Having combined the educational experiences from Greece and Rome,he put forward many individual ideas about teachers＇quality on the cultivation of orators.His ideas not only laid solid foundations in the development of western educational theory after the Renaissance but also were of great significance in useful revelation and inspiration even till today.The paper generalizes Quintilianus＇idea about teachers＇quality,and brings up some views which teachers should be owned.
