试论“布政使”林则徐

A Small Talk about Lin Zexu as a Commissioner

林则徐在四十年的为官生涯中曾五次任"布政使"一职。在每次的任期内,他都兢兢业业、勤政为民、体察民情、承宣政令、教化于民;励精图治、救灾患、与民生息,殚心为各省筹划财政;廉洁奉公、正身立朝、重视教育、为民兴利,政绩斐然,成为清代勤政廉政的楷模。他的这一系列措施也取得了一定的成效,在一定程度上减轻了人民的负担和痛苦,从而促进了当时社会政治、经济的发展,不愧为"一代良吏"。

Lin Zexu had been appointed to be a commissioner for five times in his official life over forty years.In each of his presidency,he was always cautious and conscientious.He worked diligently for his people,concerned about the people＇s need,and educated the people.He relieved the people who suffered a disaster,let the people rest,and tried his best to deal with financial problems in every province.He was a man of integrity,attached great importance to education,and made benefits for the people,so he was an integrity and hard-working model in Qing Dynasty.This series of measures he had taken also made some achievements,to some extent,alleviated the burden and suffering of the people,thereby promoted the socio-political and economic development at that time.In a word,Lin Zexu was worthy of the name of a good official in Qing Dynasty.
