王融自幼立志重振家族威望,步入仕途后坚决主张北伐,并试图另立新帝,但以失败告终。王融在政治上积极进取的精神与经历并没有使他的诗歌像他的文章那样,具有豪迈雄健的特点,而是以清丽见长,与古代＂文如其人＂的观点不符。王融其人与其诗构成了二律背反的现象。

Wang Rong was determined to revive the prestige of the family since his childhood,and after stepping into the official career he firmly insisted on the Northern Expedition,even attempted to support and throne a new emperor,but ended up in failure.Wang Rongs active,aggressive spirit and political experience did not make his poems vigorous with heroic features as his articles were,but rather lucid and elegant,which doesn＇t match with the traditional viewpoint of ＂the style is the man＂.Wang Rong himself and his poems constitute a phenomenon of antinomy.
