刘洎之死原因新析——兼论唐太宗对李治继位的准备

New Analysis of the Reason of Liu Ji's Death——And Concerning Tang Taizong's Preparations for Li Zhi's Ascend to the Emperor

唐太宗贞观十九年,受到褚遂良的诬陷,宰相刘洎被杀害。刘洎被杀从表面来看是他的言论不当所致,而实际上是多种因素交汇促成的结果。刘洎性格直率,锋芒毕露,而晚年的唐太宗却对大臣猜忌日益严重,当性格羸弱的李治成为皇太子之后,唐太宗对强势大臣的举动就十分担心。褚遂良奏上一番诬谮之辞后,唐太宗就顺水推舟将刘洎赐死。显然,担心幼主难驾驭刘洎,是唐太宗杀死刘洎最为重要的一个因素。

The prime minister Liu Ji was killed by the Emperor Tang Taizong in the Zhenguan Era of the Tang Dynasty,he was framed by Chu Suiliang.His death was caused by his improper views on politics on the surface.In fact,it was the results of many different factors.On the one hand,Liu Ji is outright and he makes a showy display of one＇s abilities.On the other hand,Taizong＇s suspicion is heavier and heavier in his late reign.Liu Ji was put to death by the excuse of Chu Suiliang＇s incrimination when Li Zhi became the Crown prince.Obviously,Taizong worried that Li zhi was not able to control the prime minister Liu Ji,which was the main reason.
