By analyzing the two cases of ＂rape＂ in the novel of Disgrace,this essay from postcolonial theory exposes the white colonialists＇ crime on both the white and the black in South Africa.Meanwhile,it explores how Coetzee tries to search for a new way for the white and the black to coexist in peace and harmony in order to ultimately attain redemption and reconciliation.
