郑州公示语英译的规范性探讨

A Study on the Standardization of C-E Translation of Public Signs in Zhengzhou City

好的语言环境是城市建设的重要保证。但建设现代化的过程中,郑州市公示语英译还存在一些问题:如公示语英译的语法错误、拼写错误、表达错误、中式翻译、译名不统一等问题,针对这些问题,笔者建议采取建立行政管理机构、制定公示语翻译统一规范、加强公众的监督管理等具体措施,改变其形式混乱、规范其翻译,以提升郑州的大都市形象。

Good language atmosphere is essential to the city construction. But during the city development, there are some problems in C - E translation, such as grammar mistakes, spelling mistakes, expression mistakes and so on. This paper concludes with suggestions to the government authorities for a better regulation of its public signs in English.
