摘要
城市是经济社会发展和人类文明进步的产物,它凝聚了人类每一时代的思想、技艺、劳动和创造的最高成就。晚近以来,随着农业经济的开发、城市化移民的增多,城市工商业经济的发展,开埠通商和西方文化的渗入,两湖地区区域中心城市发育并形成了具有区域特色的城市商业文化和消费文化、娱乐文化。城市文化和大众传媒相辅相成。晚清民初,汉口、武昌、长沙等城市出现了一批以报道城市商业文化、消费文化、娱乐文化等通俗文化为主要内容的通俗性、市民化报刊,这些报刊媒体与城市文化互生共存,相互促进和发展。
Cities are the product of economic and social development and human civilization progress, which gather the human thoughts, skills, labor and the highest achievements of creation of every era. Since the late Qing Dynasty, with the development of agricultural economy, urbanization, increased migration, urban industrial and commercial economic development, the early years of Kong trade and the infiltration of Western culture, the regional center for urban development were formed, with regional characteristics of urban commercial culture, consumer culture and entertainment culture in Hubei and Hunan Region. Urban culture and mass media complemented each other and were interdependent. In the late Qing and the early Republic period, some popular newspapers and magazines appeared in Hankou, Wuchang, Changsha and other cities, whose main content were urban commercial culture, consumer culture, entertainment culture, and popular culture. These newspapers and magazines and urban culture coexisted and promoted mutually.
