Cross-culture Study on the Culture Differences Reflected in the Film The Wedding Pact

跨文化冲突是不同性质的文化之间的矛盾性表现。美国电影《我们的家庭婚礼》讲述的是美国洛杉矶两个不同民族出身的美籍家庭在筹备儿女婚礼过程中,由于不同的文化而引发的种种矛盾和伤害。本文从民族主义和家庭建构的角度,对影片中的误解和冲突进行分析,试图寻求解决和避免文化冲突的方法。

Cross-culture shock demostrates the conflicts between heterogenous cultures. The film The Wedding Pact shows the cultural differences and conflicts between two families of different traditions and cultures in Los Angeles when they are preparing the wedding party for their children. This paper analyzes the cause of misunderstandings and conflicts between the two families from the perspective of nationalism and family struture, and attempts to find out ways of solving or avoiding cultural conflicts.
