To solve the shortage of energy in Chongqing,biomass energy should be developed in this area.The application feasibility of Idesia ploycarpa in Chongqing was discussed by analyzing the characters of biomass energy,characteristics of Idesia ploycarpa and developing conditions of Chongqing.It showed that Idesia ploycarpa was a biomass energy tree that was suitable to be cultivated in Chongqing City.
