The Problems Concerning the Development of Science and Technology Museum In China and Ways to Deal with Them

我国目前共有科技馆设施 ４００ 余座，但科技馆建设存在着建设规模缺乏依据，展厅面积严重不足，场馆建设与科普展品建设不配套，性质不明确，展教功能不突出等问题⒚提出了科学地确定建设规模。

There are more than 400 science and technology museums in China today. The allocation of the sizes of these facilities during their construction lacks feasible standard. As a result, the existing museums offer inadequate display space, often unfit for displaying exhibits, and provide only meager teaching functions. This paper has proposed ways to develop a building codes for museum construction to emphasis their functionality and nature.
