摘要
"渡船"与"商船"是《边城》中多重意义的交汇点,它们是湘西社会不可或缺的交通工具,是翠翠、天保或是傩送的欲望对象的替代物,也是这些主人公各自所处社会地位的象征物,同时还是小说文本内部的结构性因素。论文以文化研究的方式,通过对这两个意象的分析,试图揭示《边城》中"牧歌形象"的裂隙。文章最后认为,这两个意象构成了小说内部幻景与小说外部社会现实之间的一条隐秘通道。
The ferry and the merchant ship are the converging points of the multiplicity of meaning in the novel Border Town.They are the indispensable media of communications in the Western Hunan community as well as the substitutes of the desires of the main characters Cuicui,Tianbao and Nuosong.In addition,as symbols of the social status of these characters,they function as constructive elements of the inner structure of the literary text.In the perspective of cultural studies,this article,through the analysis of both images,attempts to reveal the crevice of the pastoral image.It comes into the conclusion that the two images of the ferry and the merchant ship help to form a secret channel between the inner vision and the external social reality in the novel.
