On Enlightenment of COPPS to China's Rural Contradiction Dissolve

在上个世纪的80年代中后期,世界各国开始兴起了一种以治理社区内的犯罪活动以及维护社区秩序与安全为主要内容的社区治安与犯罪问题解决活动,即COPPS,并且把社区治安与犯罪问题解决上升为一种战略高度来处理社区内外部的各种问题、矛盾与纠纷,各国都取得了一定的成效。COPPS战略对于我国农村矛盾的化解工作有很大的借鉴意义,充分的挖掘农村社区在我国农村矛盾化解中的重要作用,以维护农村社区的稳定与和谐。

During late 1980s, a new kind of governance activity began to rise from countries around the world, which aims to control the community criminal activities and maintain the eommunity order and security, namely COPPS. It deals with various problems from the perspective of a strategic height, which makes the community internal and external conflicts and disputes get solved to some extent in different countries. COPPS strategy also has a great significance to China＇s rural contradictory dissolve. In order to keep rural community stability and harmony, we should pay more attention to rural community＇s influence on China＇s rural contradiction dissolve.
