Wanyou No.2 is a hybrid combination of restorer line Wanhui 355 and male sterility line Yixiang 1A,which came from Chongqing Three Gorges Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Yibin Academy of Agricultural Sciences respectively.It has the characteristics of good grain quality,high yield and wide adaptability.Its key seed production technologies include raising strong seedlings with more tillers,rational planting density,proper prediction of flowering date,skillful use of ＂920＂,effective control of diseases and insect pests,and careful removal of weeds.
