和谐社会的构建需要和谐校园的支撑。面对日益增长的校园纠纷,现有的纠纷解决机制已不能适应高校办学发展的需要。建立高校校园纠纷人民调解制度,既可以有效化解和预防高校运行过程中面临的各类校园纠纷,把党的思想政治工作优势与政策调解、依法调处、以德化解相结合,大力弘扬社会主义核心价值体系,又可以在高校中形成依法办事的良好氛围,促进高校教育事业的健康有序发展。
