The influence of solvents on synthesis of low vinyl random copolymer of butadiene and styrene were studied with 2-methyl-2-hexyloxyl potassium/RLi as initiator. The monomer distribution,microstructure, relative molecular mass distribution,polymerization rate and properties of copolymers of butadiene and styrene prepared in cyclohexane, raffinate or the mixture of cyclohexane and n-hexane were discussed.According to the investigation,the properties of copolymers prepared in cyclohexane or mixture of cyclohexane and n-hexane were better than those of copolymers prepared in raffinate.
