On Lin Yutang's Translation from the Perspective of Mixture of Different Cultures

林语堂一直被誉为"中西文化之间的游者",林语堂凭借其精湛的中西语言功底和对中西文化的通晓,将中国古典文化译介到西方社会,促进西方社会对中国文化的认识和接受。因此将在异质文化融合的视角下,以林语堂的小品文翻译为个案研究对象,探讨林语堂在东学西渐过程中发挥的积极的文化传播作用。

Lin Yutang, with his excellent mastery of both Chinese language and English language, and with his knowledge of both the two different cultures, has made a great contribution in translating Chinese classical literature into English, thus enhancing westerners＇ understanding and acceptance of Chinese cultures. This paper intends, under the perspective of mixture of different cultures, to analyze one ofLin Yutang＇s translated texts so as to explore what Lin has done in the process of dissemination of oriental leaning.
