浅论汉字构形的象似性

On the Iconicity of the Construction of Chinese Characters

运用认知语言学中的象似性理论重新审视汉字构形的理据问题,认为汉字的构形理据及其演进符合了由映象象似性到拟象象似性的发展过程,并且认为这一发展过程的根本原因是语言使用的经济性、汉字的特点,以及汉民族的思维方式也与之密切相关。

This paper reexamines the motivation of the construction of Chinese characters from the perspective of iconicity theory. It contends that the construction of Chinese characters has developed from imagic iconicity to diagrammatic iconicity. And the reason of this developmental process lies in the economy of language use, the peculiarity of Chinese characters and the unique way of Chinese thinking.
