全球化一词既描述了当下时代的经济一体化特征,又有着深刻的文化含义。它既有积极的方面,如新的信息和技术的共享,也有消极的方面,就是全球经济一体化带来的西方中心化。通过梳理现阶段英语专业课程设置的思路,可知全球化对英语专业课程设置的负面影响集中体现在西方中心主义思想。要克服这一负面影响,则应该充分发掘全球化积极方面的潜力。

The term globalization not only describes the current economic integration features, but also has profound cultural meanings. ＂Globalization＂ has its positive influence such as the chance to share the new information and technology. But the negative influence also exists, that is the occident-centrism coming with the economic integration. By analyzing the approaches of current Eng- lish curriculum setting, we can see the negative influences of globalization on English curriculum is centered in occident-centrism, To overcome this negative impact, we should fully tap the potential of the positive aspects of globalization.
