摘要
利用具有简单象素结构的平行边缘场方法制备双畴扭曲向列相(TDTN) 液晶显示器(LCD) 能改善普通LCD的视角。由三维模拟结果发现,两对平行边缘场液晶分子,可使象素的两部分倾斜不同的方向,对试验屏的测试证实了这一模拟结果。更进一步发现。
The parallel fringe field method with a simple pixel structure is proposed to fabricate the two_domain twist nematic (TDTN) liquid crystal display (LCD) to improve the viewing angle behavior of conventional LCDs. The three_dimensional simulation results showed that two pairs of parallel fringe fields drive liquid crystal molecules in two areas of the pixel to tilt in two opposite directions and thus two domains are formed. The experimental results on the test panels confirmed the simulation results. Furthermore, a thin film transistor (TFT) addressed TDTN panel fabricated using this method demonstrated a factor of two improvement in the vertical viewing angle over the conventional single_domain TFT_TN panel.
