摘要
通过PCBN刀具断续切削等温淬火球墨铸铁(ADI)的试验,分析了刃口钝圆半径对PCBN刀具切削力和刀具寿命的影响。试验结果表明:准静态力与断续冲击力随钝圆半径的增大呈先增大后减小的趋势;断续冲击力与准静态力的差值称之为冲击力,它真实地反映了断续切削时刀具所受冲击大小,径向冲击力随钝圆半径的增大呈先减小后增大的趋势;刀具寿命随钝圆半径的增大呈先增大后减小的趋势,试验条件下,rn=4.8μm刀具的寿命最长,是未钝化刀具寿命的3倍左右。经分析认为,刃口钝化处理能缩短甚至消除初期磨损阶段,提高刀具的抗冲击性能,降低刀具发生崩刃、破损的概率,延长刀具的使用寿命。
A study was undertaken to investigate the influence of the edge radius to cutting force and tool life of the polycrystalline cubic boron nitride(PCBN) cutting tools during the test process of interrupted cutting ADI.The testing results show that the quasi-static force and interrupted impulse force decrease after increasing first along with the increasing of edge radius,the impact force,which is the difference between interrupted impulse force and quasi-static force and can actually reflect the degree of impact when interrupted cutting,decreases earlier and increases later in the radial direction but the tool life increases at first and decreases subsequently,with increasing edge radius,and the tool with edge radius of 4.8μm has the longest service life,which is three times of that has not been passivated.It is believed that edge preparation can shorten or eliminate the initiative wearing stage,improve the impact resistance,reduce the occurrence of chipping or dilapidation,and extend tool life.
