Endodontic treatment of mandibular second premolar with three root canals using dental operating microscope: A case report

下颌前磨牙根管形态复杂,变异较大,可能存在多根管,在治疗中极易遗漏。牙科手术显微镜可提供良好的光源及放大效果,使术者有可能在直视情况下对多根管下颌前磨牙进行有效的治疗。该文报道1例下颌前磨牙3根管的显微根管治疗。

Mandibular premolars are among the most difficult teeth to treat endodontically because of variations in root canal anatomy.There are only a few endodontic publications citing the incidence of mandibular 2nd premolar with 3 root canals.Thorough knowledge of the basic root canal morphology as well as the possible anatomic variations is important for the successful treatment of such cases.This article describes the successful endodontic treatment of a mandibular 2nd premolar with 3 root canals treated with the help of operating microscope in a patient with more than two canals also in the contralateral side second premolar.
