China's Breakthroughs in Public Policy to Promote Gender Equality since the Reform and Opening-up

改革开放尤其是’95世妇会以来,中国加强了对性别平等的公共政策扶持,取得了多项重大成就:一、将性别意识纳入决策主流,更新了我国的政策理念;二、将男女平等确立为基本国策,从基本政策层面推进了性别平等;三、建立了一整套维护妇女权益的法律法规体系,以立法决策有力保障了性别平等。这些为促进性别平等与妇女发展创造了空前良好的政策环境。

China,since the reform and opening-up,has achieved many breakthroughs in public policy to promote gender equality： it has incorporated a gender perspective into public policy-making strategies;regarded gender equality as one of the basic state policies;and established a system of laws and regulations for protecting rights and interests relating to women.These have created a favorable environment for further promoting gender equality and women＇s development.
