19世纪是美国的经济、文化快速发展时期,也是美国女子高等教育萌芽并初步成型的重要时期。美国是世界女子高等教育的先驱,在熟悉女性求学之路的曲折历史背景的情况下,探究当时美国女性接受高等教育的三种主要办学模式及其课程设置,借以梳理出19世纪的美国女子高等教育发展的轨迹与基本状况,最后指出三种主要办学模式的主要特点和其存在的历史意义。

The 19th century was an epoch of America＇s booming economy and flourishing culture,also an important period for the budding and early development of American women＇s higher education.The United States is one of the pioneers in world women＇s higher education.This article intends to explore three main school-running modes of American women higher Education,in the hope of tracing its development path and understanding its basic situation in the 19th century.Finally,the author demonstrates the distinguishing features of these three modes and their historical significance.
