"以嘉庚精神立校、以诚毅品格树人"是集美大学办学的根本和人才培养的目标,"诚毅"是对校园里所有与人有关的元素的要求。在学生中开展嘉庚精神教育,要通过物质环境塑造和宣传揭示蕴含的文化精神,通过完善和执行管理制度营造符合嘉庚精神的育人环境,要不断凝练和升华办学理念,形成独特的大学文化。

＂Establishing itself in Tan Kah-Kee spirit and cultivates talents with the personality of sincerity and perseverance＂ is my school basis and the personnel training goal. We shall carry out the Tan Kah-Kee spiritual education among the students, must reveal the implicit cultural spirit through the material environment mold and the propaganda, and keep with the Tan Kah-Kee spirit. Through the consummation and execution control system, we shall nurture the personal environmentand forms the Jimei University unique culture.
