The property and classification of polyelectrolyte were reviewed.As a flocculant,a dispersant,a super absorbent polymer and a medical sustaining release material,polyelectrolytes have been used in many fileds,such as energy,biomedical and functional materials,etc.Further studies of polyelectrolyte were predicted.
