The corrosion to the carbon steel in the seawater is analysed, the method of controlling corrosion and the corrosion mechanism are discussed. Adding corrosion inhibitor in the seawater circulating cooling system to inhibit the corrosion of carbon steel is a feasible and effective way, and the mechanism of corrosion inhibitor is discussed. The direction of exploiting corrosion inhibitor is convert from high effect to high effect and friendly to environment, the exploitment of corrosion inhibitor in the future is expected.
