摘要
本文在分析了美国战后城市开发史的变迁与“边缘城市”开发建设的误区和界限的基础上，阐述了可持续社区的规划理念与要素及规划的原则，并介绍了美国具有代表性的３例可持续社区规划的原则与特点。
Based on analysing changes of urban development process in American after the Second World War and limits of development of edge city, this articleexpounds concept, elements and principles of sustainable community planning, and introduces the three typical cases of sustainable communityplanning.
