摘要运用神话原型批评方法分析美国现代南方剧作家田纳西.威廉斯的经典剧《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》中隐形人斯基普之死,主人公布里克的沉沦,以及大阿爹精神之死的深层原因,探究发生在他们身上不可避免的悲剧命运及其根源,即获取真知识(知识树)与栖息无知的乐土(伊甸园)的冲突与对立,可以深入了解作者的知识观,及其对现代社会中人的精神危机的深深担忧和对人类幸福的关怀。
