网络媒体具有不同于传统媒体的特性,这些特性赋予了网络编辑不同于传统编辑的角色定位。在网络媒体中,网络编辑的把关人角色得到强化,网络编辑既是信息发布过程中的把关人,又是网络舆情的监管者。与此同时,网络编辑还需具备知道分子①的两大特性,即具备杂家的知识背景和成为意见领袖的能力,如此才能转化为主动生产和传播信息的新型文化媒介人,并使自身兼具创新与个性,引导网络文化健康发展。网络编辑只有做好从把关人到知道分子的角色二重性转接,才能有效规范网络媒体,更好地将两个效益结合起来。

The characteristics of internet media different from those of traditional media make the role of web editor not the same as that of traditional editor.The internet media highlights the web editor＇s role who is not only the gatekeeper,but the regulator of the public opinion as well.Also,the editor needs to have two major characteristics of the ＇Knowing People＇,to be a real generalist and to be a competent opinion leader,which can transform the web editor into a creative and special new cultural intermediary to produce and transmit information actively,and to guide the healthy development of internet culture.Thus can web editor regulate the internet media effectively and combine the two benefits better.
