晚清留美幼童是中国近代史上第一批留学生。他们回国后大多用尽所学为祖国服务,对中国社会产生了深远的影响,促进了中国的近代化。但由于封建体制束缚等种种原因,幼童赴美没有最终圆满结束,没有能够更大限度地发挥其历史作用,实为遗憾。反思中国第一批留美学生的过程和命运,对于我们今天应该有所裨益。

Chinese overseas children in the USA in late Qing Dynasty is the first batch of Chinese overseas students in Chinese modern history.When they returned,they dedicated their learning to the motherland,which made a profound impact on Chinese society and promoted China＇s modernization.However,due to various causes such as the bondage of the feudal system,it＇s a pity that it did not reach a successful conclusion in the end and did not play its historical role to a greater extent.Reflection on the process and fate of the first batch of Chinese overseas students in the USA may benefit us today.
