Analysis of the Polysemy Model of of the Common Word "Fight" from a Cognitive Point of View

多义词研究一向是语言学研究的一个重要课题,认知语言学认为多义词(polysemy)各个义项之间的关系不是任意的,身体和思维及词义之间存在紧密联系,多义词的扩展是以人的身体在客观世界中的体验为基础的意象图式基础上,通过隐喻和转喻的方式形成的。文章试图用认知中的原型理论、意象图式、隐喻和转喻理论来着重探析"打"的众多意义之间的关系模式,以及众多义项衍生的理据。

Polysemy research has always been an important topic of linguistic study.Cognitive linguistics believes that relationship among Polysemes is not arbitrary in that body and mind and meaning are closely related to one another.polysemy extension is formed by way of metaphor and metonymy according to the experience-based image schema of the human body in the objective world.This article attempts to probe into the relation schema among numerous senses of ＂da＂ based on prototype theory in cognitive theory,image schema,metaphor and metonymy theory as well as arguments for the derivation of the numerous senses.
