Wandering along the Yarra River, the author followed the track of the historical development of Melbourne and gained a full understanding of its Contemporary art. From the old 'Leaf' logo to the new identity 'M'of the city, Melbourne has reoriented itself as an international design capital instead of only a regional city. The bridges of various designs, postmodern architectures and theme sculptures of tribal totems on the Yarra River highlight the modern spirits of the city of Melbourne. All these are attributed to the strategic planning and specific norms carefully stipulated by the city.
