成矿强度和成矿广度是评价一个地区或地质建造成矿有利度的重要指标。提出应用GIS定量表征成矿强度和广度的指标: 成矿广度指数和成矿强度指数, 并给出计算公式。以云南澜沧江流域各时代地层的成矿强度和广度分析为实例, 在详细统计了研究对象范围内分布的已知矿产地的基础上,
Ore\|forming intensity and extensity(OFIE)are significant indexes to evaluate the ore\|forming favorability of certain area or geological formation. This paper gives two quantitative indexes and their calculation equations to express OFIE based on the application of GIS, i.e.ore\|forming intensity index and ore\|forming extensity index. According to the statistics of known ore occurrences within the case study area of the Lancang River Valley, the analysis of OFIE of each strata unit and mineralization phase are detailed.\;
