专八与雅思考试阅读部分对比研究

A Comparative Study of Reading Comprehension in TEM8 and IELTS

英语专业八级和雅思考试都是国内较有影响的两种英语测试。本文从对阅读文本特点的分析和对阅读问题特点的分析两个方面,对两者阅读测试的不同特点进行了比较分析。对比文本分别为2006-2009英语专业八级考试真题和剑桥雅思考试全真试题7中的阅读理解题各四分,共八份试题,二十八篇阅读文本。对比结果发现两者在文本形式、文本长度、文本主题、阅读题型及题型数量方面存在不同,同时本文还对今后的英语专业八级阅读命题提出一些改进建议。

The Test for English Majors Grade 8（TEM8） and The International English Language Testing System（IELTS）are two influential tests in China.This paper makes a comparative analysis on reading comprehension part based on the two tests.The comparison texts are collected from TEM-8（2006-2009）and Cambridge Books for Cambridge Exams 7（Test1-Test4）,altogether 8 versions of reading tests,within which 28 reading comprehension texts are involved.The result shows that the two tests are different in text forms,text length,text topic,text questions and number of text questions.Meanwhile the analysis of this paper has implications on the design of TEM-8.
