This paper is a detailed description of guo in Wenzhou dialect, Zhejiang province, which is used as either a modal particle in the sentence-middle position or a modal particle marking the sentence＇s status as a narrative, interrogative, imperative, or exclamatory sentence in the sentence-final position, and which is also used in combination with other modal particles.
