The subprime mortgage crisis which began in the USA has evolved into a global financial crisis rapidly fueled by globalization. During this crisis, almost no country or region can be spared, so EU was not an exception. But objectively speaking, the EU's own economic situation and development potential makes it not only experience unusurally large losses in the crisis, but also the recovery process was extremely difficult. These factors will certainly affect the further development of European integration, and will also affect the future of the EU's ability to build international pattern. Specifically, the financial crisis has affected European integration in different degrees from different levels, such as the power basis of integration, internal unity, external environment, and EU's international status and influence as a pole in the world .
