摘要
柏拉图认为,城邦不仅是由公民组成的政治共同体,还是一个大型的公民教育组织。公民教育使城邦追求至善成为可能。作为实现这一高远目的的唯一途径,公民教育应当是城邦统治者最重要的职责。在讨论正义的过程中,柏拉图建立了一套完整的公民教育体系。建立正义城邦所需的哲学王,正是这一体系的最终产物。
Plato believes the city state was not just a political community of citizens, but a large education organization of citizenship as well, which made the "supreme good" ,the goal of the city state, possible. As the only path to this lofty goal, the education of citizens should be the most important duty for rulers of the city-state. In his discussion of justice, Plato established a sophisticated education system where the Philosopher-king, as the key to just city-state, is also the supreme product of the education system.
