The basic characteristics of magnesium and its alloy have been introduced briefly.The extrusion character of magnesium and its alloy has been described in detail,and the comparison of the extrusion technology has been made with the aluminum extrusion.A great number of hot extrusion production parameters have been given,and they are can be used as references for producing new magnesium and magnesium alloy extrusions.
