摘要
本文在总结h指数用于机构评价的理论与应用研究的基础上,重点介绍了Prathap和Schubert提出的h2指数的定义及其计算方法,并以1998~2009年"大分子化学"领域Web of Science论文数据为实例,利用自编程序,计算出该领域主要机构的h2指数,并与论文、引文和篇均引文指标得分与排序的相关性进行了比较。数据结论表明:h2指数、论文、引文指标分别从不同的角度描述机构科研绩效的各个侧面;h2指数与论文、引文指标相关性很强,与篇均引文指标关联较弱;h2指数的统计粒度较大,可以用于机构的等级划分。
Based on the summary of study related to h index in institutional evaluation,the author introduced h2 index defined by Prathap and Schubert in 2008,and took a case study of Macromolecules research area.By Using the collection of Web of Science database and computer program designed by authors,h2 index for the large scale institutions were calculated.The conclusion showed three main points:first,h2 index,counts of publication,citations etc,described different academic aspects from different angles.Secondly,h2 index has strong Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficient with the counts of publication,citations,and has less correlation coefficient with citations per article.Thirdly,being the granularity of h2 index is larger than the other indicators,it could be used to describe the grade of academic level.
