分析了递推空间法应用于实际求解自相关距离时存在的问题，并提出了改进办法；结合几段公路路堤地基土和堤土自相关距离的计算结果，分析了各种情况下自相关距离的规律，提出了自相关距离求取与确定的原则和方法。

When using the space average method (SAM) to determine the correlation distance (scale of fluctuation δ u) in highway embankment,some problems occur.With the results of correlation distance for several highway embankments,this paper discusses the problems and analyzes the results in different case.Some rule and method is suggested to determine the correlation distance δ u.
