This article introduces the common reasons and the mechanism of surge on turbocharger of marine diesel engine,according to the elimination process of the surge of turbocharger of the main engine.And it finds that the unbalance between the turbocharger and the diesel engine match which is the real reason for the surge of turbocharger.Upon taking some measures,the faults are eliminated and some views are given on daily maintenance of turbocharger.
